less: living a life where less leads to more

In a world that constantly urges us to do more, have more, and be more, what happens when God calls us to less?

Through personal reflections and biblical wisdom, Less explores the journey of stepping away from the frantic pace of life and embracing a simpler, more intentional existence. From recognizing the burden of excess to slowing down and savoring life through Sabbath rest and mindful living, this book invites you to create margin and rely on God’s power rather than your own striving.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the weight of more and longed for a life of deeper peace and purpose, this book will guide you toward the freedom found in less.

Book Reviews

John Mark Comer argues that hurry is not just a scheduling issue but a deeply spiritual problem that erodes our peace, relationships, and connection with God. Drawing from the life and teachings of Jesus, Comer relays that the hurried pace of modern life, driven by technology, consumerism, and achievement, produces anxiety and emotional exhaustion.

He proposes a countercultural way of living rooted in spiritual disciplines such as silence and solitude, Sabbath, simplicity, and slowing down, which he calls “the way of Jesus.” The book ultimately presents unhurried living not as laziness, but as a disciplined, intentional lifestyle that restores joy and connection in our everyday life.

This book led me down a wonderful rabbit trail and helped me immensely on my journey to slow down and consume less. It also helped me focus on my relationship with God and trim away the things that were getting in the way of my morning Bible study and prayer. I highly recommend.👏 Grab a copy through my affiliate link below:
